The past few weeks have been more than crazy; with over 30hours of driving, a few hospital visits, some let downs and some successes theteam is still feeling stronger than ever.

For our trip to National Champs at Beech Mountain, NC, teamrider Phil Kmetz sat out the event due to a broken clavicle. Dylan made thetrip and tried to ride, but didn’t race as he is still healing from a kneeinjury sustained at Windham. Gavin, Tim and Willem were all feeling strong and readyto show the nation what we are made of. Gavin had an amazing weekend and metall the goals he set out for himself. He qualified in 12th andfinished 7th in the nation! Tim would have bad luck in qualifyingand finals. He did not finish his final’s race run and made his way down with achipped pelvis. Willem had a few costly mistakes in his final run and wouldfinish 4th in Cat 1 25-29 and bring home the only medal for the teamthat weekend.

Killington Eastern States Cup was a great welcome home. Theracetrack was fun and very physical. This race would be Phil’s first race backin almost two months. Phil had a blast and was feeling strong on his bike, butthe rain on Saturday made the track very difficult and he would crash. With thecrash Phil ended up in 2nd. Gavin was feeling confident for a podiumspot, but a crash in finals would have him end up in 5th. Willemwould put in the effort, but finished in 6th.

Mt. Snow Eastern States Cup would have Gavin sit out due toa sore wrist, but Tim came back from his pelvis injury. Mt Snow had crazyweather as always. The trail crew at Mt. Snow is putting in some real workthere and had an amazing track full of jumps, burms, roots and rocks! Tim wouldcome down with a clean run and finish 4th, Phil came blazing down, but just missed top step and ended up 2nd. Willem held back just a littletoo much and ended up 6th again.
