Norway WC Finals Race Report

Our trip to the World Cup finals in Norway started with an interesting day of travel highlighted by someone forgetting their passport, some gnarly turbulence and playing musical cars at the rental lot.  We then had a couple down days to build bikes, adjust to the time change and the culture.  Including stocking the condo's fridge with some expensive food (and later beer) and using the built in sauna.

The past few weeks have been more than crazy; with over 30hours of driving, a few hospital visits, some let downs and some successes theteam is still feeling stronger than ever.

Pats Peak and Angelfire

This past weekend the team was all over the US. Gavin and Phil went to Angle Fire, New Mexico while Tim, Dylan and Willem held down the podium at Pats Peak in New Hampshire.

This past weekend was the first found of the Eastern States Cup at the new and revived Mountain Creek Bike Park. In both Cat 1 and the Pro class we had over 30 of the fastest guys in the nation to race. This race was really going to show all of us if our winter training is going to pay off... and it did in a big way! Tim had a crash in his run but felt fast and confident for next weekend, he finished 32nd. Dylan has been working really hard on fitness, with this being his first...

Team Camp at HMBP

This past weekend The whole team went to Highland Mountain Bike Park to test the bikes Yeti Cycles, work on some team stuff, and shoot video. We are all feeling really good on the new bikes and components deity components Nema International Next weekend the team will be at Mountain Creek Bike Park for the first round of the Eastern States Cup. Gavin at Port Angeles

Still recovering after flying back from Port Angeles, WA Monday. First time flying to a race and first time in the PNW. It was a great experience. The first round of the US GP of MTB and Pro GRT had a well rounded fun track with good food vendors, and the turnout was huge. Practice and seeding went smoothly but placing 53 told me I had work to do. I charged a little harder in the finals and I finished 48th. Team Voncooper is proud to announce that we be will racing on a Yeti 303WC for 2012. We will also be wearing NEMA gear again and are still working on dialing in the rest of the sponsors for 2012. National Champs

Team Rider Adam Mores had a great result at the U.S. National Championship. He is 7th in the nation. East Coast Pride!!! Go Adam!

Tim White Injury

Team rider Tim White had an accident while swimming. He broke C6 and C7 vertabra in his neck. Tim had surgary to fuse both C6 and C7 together. He will have full mobility and is already walking. Tim is hoping to back to work in a few weeks time. Doctors expect him to have a full recovery and to be back on the bike next season. Heal fast Tim!
